R50/53 How can you tell which frequency is used by remote
How can you tell which frequency is used by remote
It looks like the remote for the 2004 Mini Cooper S can use 2 different frequencies (433MHz and 315MHz). Is it possible to tell which one without going to the dealer? The chip in mine is a PCF7930 4S.
Yes... but you need a spectrum analyzer to see it. I have one at work and can ID whats coming from my key fob for the 2005 I have but wont be back in the office to do it until next year. If you want me to do it PM me the 1st week of 2021 and I'll get it done. Need the RF guy's help there at work for the antenna part to be able to pick it up.
