I have a 2017 F60. The car has the nbtevo headunit with the 8.8 touchscreen. I took the car to a coder yesterday to have all the software updated to the latest levels. (Headunit, gearbox, engine, suspension etc.) my drive home was 200 miles and the the gear changes seemed smoother as well as the fuel efficiency being better - although it could all be in my head.

One of the reasons for the update was to get the headunit to level V so we could activate full screen CarPlay. Unfortunately although we installed the latest software, the car shows that it has only updated to level U. We tried both an update and a total bootloader reinstall after wiping the headunit completely.

Has anyone come across this problem and found a way to resolve it?

 

Had the same issue on my 2017. My original flash only took me to U. The link below explains how to amend your flash file to force the update to V. That worked for me.
