Sell me your JCW

I posted in the for sale/wanted section but figured not everyone looks there. I’m looking for a super clean lower mileage R53 JCW. GP1 prices are just out of control right now. Who can I convince to sell me their car?

What range do you consider “low miles” and what price range do you expect for super clean 2006 factory JCW slicktop?

I know GP prices are climbing into the $25-35k range for super clean low miles. For a similar JCW, where do you see the market?

I’m trying to find something under 60k miles which isnt crazy low. I’m trying to be reasonable considering the available options right now. I’ve located a 2006 with 56k miles, slicktop, one owner, $10k. It’s not exactly what I’m looking for but the price is fair and unless something else comes up it may be my best option.

If a car had lower miles, was super clean with the aero kit, slick top, the right options and color, a factory 2006, I would probably be comfortable anywhere from $12k-$20k, depending on condition and miles.

Don't want much do you..!
Kidding, but...

In the Los Angeles area, early JCW's have all but dried up. I keep a light watch out for 05 and 06 JCW's. There hasn't been one (a clean one) for a while, at least in Craigslist.
That's where I found my 05. When I was working on the east coast a little over 2 years ago, I looked in CraigsList on weekends. I found what seemed to be a nice one, but expensive. On one weekend home, we got together.
Long story short, I bought his "all" silver, JCW, with just over 20,000 miles. Aftermarket wheels, heavy springs, aftermarket rear anti-sway bar, front shock tower, strut bar.

There was more than a few available a coupla years back. But since then, they've really dried up in this area.

Good luck.

Mike

Yea....I’m probably being a little greedy and picky...lol. I’m just really ocd with my cars so.

The JCW parts (steering wheel, etc) and cars are basically impossible to find now so I know I’m going to have to spend quite a bit on a super clean low mileage car. I would prefer paying for the right car rather than trying to source all of the parts to make it the way I want. I’m searching nationwide multiple times a day and have multiple people looking for me as well. I guess the right car will come around eventually lol.

An “all” silver 05 JCW with low miles....want to sell it? Lol 😉

Here it is -
Still only 20,6xx miles on it.
I've replaced the gas cap with a standard cap/cover, It's a little lower in the back, sits almost level at the rocker panel now. A few other small changes here and there from this picture.

I remember seeing pictures of it somewhere now. It’s kind of hard to forget those wheels. It’s definitely a nice car.

I know my car is a little bit dear, but it is a convertible, and does come with some expensive upgrades and options. The aero kit alone is $3000 by the time you get it shipped, installed and painted, that is, if you can still find one of these unicorns! It also comes with two sets of rims and rubber. Most minis need work or help to get safe and operational or not leaking. Mine has been fully gone through and some buyers will appreciate that, especially if they really want a late model supercharged jcw/Aero and dont or cant do the work themselves. I can work with someone on pricing but my car is pretty rare and looked after, so I dont want to give it away. Hope that makes sense.. it may take me a while to find the right buyer, or wait till spring, but thats ok. I found another car I am interested in so I am listing it out there.

I mean, if the price is right I'd sell most things I own.

Can you drive it in reverse for about 150k miles so it only has 34k miles? 😉

Yes I’m looking for a super clean low mileage 05/06 JCW with the right options still. I would prefer a GP1 if the price was right and not ridiculous like most of them now. I bought a 13 JCW and I am in the process of rebuilding it now (it’s currently at the body shop getting a full repaint. I’m going to start a build thread here shortly). I appreciate everyone still looking for me

I’m sure you saw this one. Was taken down within hours (on dealer site) then went back up, then down again, who knows. You get the GP wheels, and some other silly stuff that can be removed, and you probably want a bit less miles. But has some of your other wants, aero, anthracite, English leather seats. But I believe it’s gonna anyway.

I know GP prices are climbing into the $25-35k range for super clean low miles. For a similar JCW, where do you see the market?
