We need to have the timing chain replaced on our 2009 Cooper S. This plastic was in the oil. There was also a piece of metal. I’m trying to figure out what it came off of. Any ideas?
Yep. That’s what it is. Make sure you pull the oil pan. I am waiting on a new oil pump from letting the metal and plastic sit in there while running the engine. The plastic melted and blocked the oil screen.
