R53 JCW Aero Side Skirt Adapter Sills

Category: Exterior
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (you may select multiples): R52, R53
Location (Region): Midwestern
Item Condition: Used

Just purchased a set of JCW Aero Side skirts that need some parts and paint before I can put them on my MINI. When I got them, it was missing the adapter plate in order for it to fit on my normal R53. I know that these are NLA, so I am looking and seeing if anyone has this part. I would much rather use this part rather than getting creative with zipties.

Let me know what you have! I would be extremely interested in a set.

I THINK the 2nd gen adapter sills can be used with the 1st gen cars. At least I hope because the set of aero skirts that I bought second hand came with what looks like 2nd gen adapter sills. I haven't installed them yet. Perhaps someone here can confirm or refute? The ECS rep? Hopefully they can because they're available and relatively inexpensive.

These are the adapters that came with my 1st gen aero skirts. I was thinking about replacing them because they are kind of beat up. I have an R52 and it looks like the rear cross braces are accommodated with the cutouts at the back. The part numbers are the same as shown in the links above.

ECS says they don't fit but I wonder if that's more of a numbers thing?

I found a thread that indicates the gen2 adapter sills fit the gen1 cars. At the end of the thread.
