NCS Expert R53 do I need a more current Daten than v38? How does one now what daten version is needed?

I have the tools following the forum here, just wanted to know if I need something more current than v38? I have the vm on XP, I have followed the PDF, copied the files , etc.

I have version 65. It is always best to have the most current daten file.

 

Where can I get the latest, I downloaded the zip from here , google drive I think that had the ncsexpert. v38 came with it.

I followed the pdf instructions before for ncs expert for adding the r53 v38 daten, but I am not aware of how to update. Does this require BMW Coding tool? I remember something about it for updating daten.

 

There is a update tool by BMW. It makes it easier to update you dates files for ncs expert an inpa.
