Sealing Supercharger Nosecone/Facelift confirmation

I just picked up a used facelift supercharger with a manufactured sticker as 04/05. It was apparantly pulled off of an 06 with 86K on it and it looks beautiful! The rotors are a dark black color, which based on research seems to confirm that it is the facelift teflon-coated model. Can anyone confirm that it is possible to have the better supercharger with an 04/05 date? In order to be sure of it's condition, I pulled the nose cone off.

Now, I need to reseal the nosecone before reinstalling. Has anyone done this before? Any advice on the type of sealant or application to reseal the cone would be very much appreciated!

Thank you,
Bryan

Facelift was from july 2004. If it has the black lobes, then its the facelift model with the teflon coating.

Can't be resealed with sealant AFAIK, you need to replace the seals. If the shaft or any nose side bearings have wear it will leak (worn bearings allow play). You can mitigate by continuously topping up the SC oil but that is a pain. The M45 has been notoriously non-rebuildable, I purchased a rebuild from WMW and it failed in a couple of months because they didnt replace the nose seal or bearings, it leaked, went dry and the nylon coupler melted. They did not stand behind their work. There are lots of rebuild kits on ebay now but I would be suspicious of those. Get quality bearings. its hard to find the seal retainer but it looks like GTT came out with a kit last year that looks good. http://www.gtt.uk.com/gtt-r53-eaton-...-developments/
