6 Speed Automatic Shifting Question

This question relates to a thread in which I did a transmission fluid change, that thread was called "How Not to Change the oil."

After a couple of drain/fill cycles, the transmission was feeling pretty good. I know at one point after doing this I reset the transmission adaptations with a scan tool. The last couple of weeks, the transmission seems to be shifting.....oddly. 6-speed automatic, S ALL4 model, with steptronic paddle shift on the steering wheel.

When I get on the gas a bit, I'd say all shifting feels fine. When I'm kind of a grandpa about it taking off from a stop, 1st to 2nd gear shift at approx 16-19 mph feels.....firm. Doesn't really feel like anything slips, RPMs dont go up and then it bangs into gear, it just seems like kind of a harsh shift. 2nd to 3rd isn't as firm, but it feels delayed. By delayed I mean the car feels like it stops forward momentum slightly as it shifts, sort of how it would feel if it were a manual transmission and you shifted too early into the next highest (numerically) gear. I guess that's a good description for how both shifts feel. It sort of feels like it might be a manual transmission but the car has an actuator to shift it for me, like it isn't a true automatic transmission.

Another point.... in town, I have a spot where I come over the peak of a hill in the road and I'm in the top of 2nd gear, don't quite get to third, and the car rolls down the hill at speed (it's steep enough). WHen I near the bottom of the hill and apply some throttle, the rpms climb with no acceleration until the gears seems to catch at again, the top of 2nd and then it shifts. Sort of like the car is in neutral momentarily, or as if you'd hit the gas before letting the clutch all the way out in a manual.

I'm not confident I'd say any of this seems WRONG, just I am paranoid ever since buying this car. Again, when I give her some throttle everything shifts and seems fine. Maybe she just doesn't have grandpa in her? I reset the adaptation again yesterday and that does seem to make the shifts feel better....

Any thoughts? Perhaps someone can point me to where I can learn more about the inner workings of this transmission? Just googling Aisin and the trans model number doesn't come up with much.

Thanks.

mine shift pretty tight in s mode but in non s mode is gives delayed shifts in beginning of acceleration. Not consistent but happens
