Lug bolt length with aftermarket wheels
Lug bolt length with aftermarket wheels
Hey everyone
i found somewhere that the stock lug bolt length for the GP2 is 27mm. GP2 wheels are 17x7.5 45et. My aftermarket wheels are 17x7.5 35et. What length conical lug bolts do i need? 37mm lug bolts? Please confirm.
thanks everyone

The offset of the wheels (+45 vs +35) does not affect the length of the bolt needed. The only things that affect that are, if you use spacers or are changing from thin, usually forged wheels, to more normal wheels.
so your saying I can use conical lug bolts in stock length 27mm?
Yes, but if never hurts to count the number of turns, that the bolt is engaged. Put it in just enough to catch the first thread, then count the number of turns it takes to get it torqued down properly. You should have at least 7.5 turns of thread engagement.
I wish it was that easy. I currently have a stud conversion so I just want to get the right length bolt so to will be a seamstress swap.
Then just try a new wheel on the old studs - same difference.
or just measure the thickness of the wheel centers.
The general rule is that you should be able to see 1 or 2 stud threads outside the nut.
