Seems like there are a lot of people sitting around with too much money and bidding up some of these cars to crazy prices. Don't think the MINI will fit that category.

I'd sure like the Gullwing, will need to start saving.

Yeah, it has blown my mind to see what some of the listings have gone for --- the BaT tax is real and apparently there's plenty o' folks out there with deep enough pockets to pay the premium.

Although I love the Gullwing, I'd rather spend my piggybank on the Cooper-Climax just because it's such a historic machine.

I'd shidt twinkies if I was driving down the street and that thing passed me by!


It had to be re-listed because the winning bidder failed to pay the $98,000 from the previous auction.

Historic for many reasons, but extra-special to me because that car was the first one to use the classic minilite-style 8 spoke which were made by the Cooper Car Co. and designed by Owen Maddock.

Although the listing doesn't state it, the wheels appear to be pukka originals.
