So I finally got around to jumping starting my car and driving it for the first time in a week. Runs and drives fine except I am seeing my idle hover around 1000 RPM, as opposed to the normal 800 when warm. I also see boost pressure at idle indicating around -7.0 to -7.5 psi as opposed to the normal -0.7. This all happening at the same time I notice a worsening of a hiss coming from the valve cover PVC diaphragm (back passenger side corner of the valve cover).
I suspect these are all related and I should just replace my valve cover. Just wanted some second opinions.
Check the pcv tube. Does it idle rough? Might not be a big enough leak yet to make it run rough. I blocked mine, 6000 miles no issues. I got the plugs from ECS for 25, this was for 2 of them.
I didn’t have my scanguage before I did this, but I know know at idle I see about the same boost pressure you are now seeing.
Update on this issue. Just replaced my battery because I got a dud from autozone that wasn't holding a charge and would die in an hour. New battery fixed most of the issues. Still getting the hiss from the diaphragm area so I'll probably replace that.
