Need help! Took apart supercharger

So I decided to take on the challenge to refill my super charger(fyi harder than I thought). I replaced a bunch of gaskets while I was there. Now onto putting everything back together is going easy until I found this piece. For the life of me I can’t seem to remember where I took it off from. The only piece I forgot to label and now I’m paying the price haha. Anyone help on trying to figure out my mistake.

Have you tried searching here?

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=11_3392

That part is not in that diagram I'm afraid, but perhaps I guessed the wrong year. Gotta be somewhere...

Cheers,

Charlie

Could it be Part #9 in this diagram? The bracket?

LOL, we need a real R53 owner to help here. Someone with a shop light and an open bonnet.

That's not me for the last few years, sorry.

All the best,

Charlie

What's the build date for your car? I love a challenge.

Maybe flip it over so the bolt enters from the other side- looks close...

Oh I might have over looked at this one but I can swear that bracket is unbolted but left hanging.

but i do believe this goes under the supercharger and holds the grommets from the wire harness to the alternator and ac compressor

I recently finished my service on the SC a couple weeks ago. I don't remember pulling anything that looks like that. Good luck with the hunt

That’s what I was trying to figure out. Looks like it goes along with the ac compressor. Not quite sure yet as I was in a hurry when I looked.

I'm thinking that it might be the bracket that holds the large electrical connection for the cooling fan and resistor. Mounted in the driver's side front close to radiator.

I can look at my '04 R53 tomorrow if I remember....
