Exhaust suggestions

I'm looking for an exhaust that has the little flap thing lol. I'm wanting an exhaust that is mild but good in performance. I was thinking the exhaust flap control thing would be the best option. Are there any for the R56 S?

This is the only commercially available valved catback I can find for R56 in about 5 minutes of searching: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-armytrix...r5x-ds11b~ary/

Mind you it's 2-4 times more expensive than other typical stainless exhaust systems. You could probably just build your own through an exhaust shop for less.

We've been running different exh on R56 S cars for years and honestly they don't need a flap system as they aren't that loud, plus most people actually want to make some sound.

I'm running an Akrapovic on my GP2 and love it.

If you want something louder the Quicksilver is really good value

Thanks,

Call into our sale team and ask for Micheal Panning, he might be able to help you on that, make sure you mention you are a MINI forum member.

We dont reduce for local pickup. Right now our pickup is also curbside.

Thanks Mike

If you can find a used Alta 3" that's the ultimate as far as I'm concerned, sadly they don't make it anymore. Note its 3" front to back flows like a river

I want something pretty mild, something where I can drive around d on the streets without getting to much attention but still provide some performance. I intend to hand the car down to my nephew and don't want him to be sought out by cops if you know what I mean.

For more mild I would go with the Akrapovic then. I put it on my GP as I didn't like the drone the stock exh had with no backseats, plus it gave it a good tone and fit perfect.

I wouldn't go with a 3inch as the turbo doesn't push enough to need a 3 inch and you just loose gas velocity and can actually loose power from it, also it will be heavier.

Great. Thank you are the tips polished if I decide not to put on the carbon fiber tips. Thats the only thing that doesn't quite match my car
