Bluetooth static with phone

2012 Clubman S with stock dash components. Iphone 11 pro on Visible (verizon 4G). The bluetooth connection with my phone was working great with my prior android phone, and I think it was even good when I initally hooked up my new iphone but I don't recall.

Problem: When calling and talking, the bluetooth connection is very choppy and makes calls difficult to hear. The bluetooth audio for music works great.

Any idea why this connection problem might be occurring?

Many thanks for helping me!

Try disabling the phone wifi radio and see if it improves.

Has anyone found a fix for this? Mine is so horrible callers can’t hear me. Seems to have gotten worse after last iPhone update
