R50/53 Quaife Warranty
Quaife Warranty
Hey all, I'm getting ready to put a quaife LSD in my car, and I was reading the fine print on their warranty. It looks like their warranty is not good if the diff is used in the US. It sounds like the diff is pretty bullet proof and honestly I'm more worried about damage in shipping than once it's in the car, but I was just curious if anyone has had to try and use the warranty with them, and if you had any luck.
Lifetime Warranty
Quaife America backs the lifetime warranty within the USA. See: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/quaifewarranty.htm for one company's statement.
They are well-built units, and since they are a gear-type LSD, there are no clutches to wear out. (Yes, I have one also.)

If you bought it from a US Authorized dealer you have nothing to worry about as it will have the Quaife lifetime warranty.
If you bought it from a non authorized dealer or from outside the US you very well may not have a warranty. Many companies do this now to make sure vendors don't sell out of their authorized regions or countries. Milltek is another company that does this.

Good to know, I was reading the warranty info on their UK website, because I figured retailers would have a similar warranty policy, I hadn't realized that warranty through a retailer would be an option.
