Limp mode light

I just got a 2010 clubman s and the limp mode light is on but I have no power loss and I can hear the turbo working. After doing some research I read that it could be a loose connection so I check it out and I did find the big pipe going to the air filter was not on properly and that there was no filter in the box at all. So I put in a new filter and attached the hose properly but the light just won’t go off. Will it take time for the light to go off or could it be another problem?

Get the scan tool and see what it is. With a quick scan, They will not clear themselves. You will have to clear it with a tool.

That one on walmart is just a generic scan tool, will not read MINI specific codes.

You can discount the battery for 10-15 and that should clear it, however if issue isn’t fixed it will come back.

Yep, comes right back if its still there and with the schwaben tool you will still see the old fault codes stored.
