R60 Clutch

Hey everyone. I’ve got 28k on the clock. Clutch is starting to slip and chatter. Recommendations on replacement kit? Should I also replace the flywheel while I’m in there?
2016 R60 S FWD
Please and thanks in advance!!

Never did a Mini, but ECS sells clutch kits and I've used them for VW cars. Yours seems early to need a clutch. You might get away with just replacing the friction disk, but it you are going to take it apart, and plan on keeping the car a while, I'd do an aftermarket kits. Most kits are disk and pressure plate. The flywheel should last several clutches. If your flywheel is scored, you can pull it and have it machined.

We got you covered. When you do the clutch sometimes the guide tube and the seal can be done.

Go with a stage one if you are just daily, the oem clutch and flywheel are $$$, if you like the oem feel you can get an aftermarket clutch and/flywheel which are right next to the genuine MINI parts.

R60s seem to be harder on the clutches since they are heavier and the poor throttle response built into the ECU.
I would actually recommend going back with an Original MINI brand clutch, NOT an OEM or aftermarket as they just don't work or last as long as real MINI parts.
And I would ALWAYS do the fork kit at the same time and that is why we include it with our Original MINI kits

Also while doing the job go ahead and upgrade the front control arm bushings
