mini r56 jcw remap potential

Hey guys, the car is a 2010 fjcw with a few mods: catless downpipe, airtec ic, k&n panel filter and upgraded spark plgs, software completely stock. After a small talk with the local tunner he told me that I should expect about 20hp more cuz thats the turbo limit on those cars. Its a bit strange cuz most of the guys get about 250 and more with similar mods. But as I kinda wanna go the safe way I am okay with 20hp bump. Do I need to upgrade my recirculation valve for such small power bumb? What about the turbos? Is that rly there safe max?
And one last question. What are the signs I might need to do a walnut blasting?

Depends what stage he's tuning for.

Maybe they don't want to destroy that engine and playing it safe.

With those mods it looks like a stage 2 tune.

If you're in the USA try contacting MarioKart or Revolution Motor Works or Prototype-R.

The only way is to stick a borescope down and check to see if it's carboned up.
