Not entirely sure this is posted in the correct forum, but I need to find a replacement passenger's side side scuttle; the one I need is (I believe) P/N 51130414458 and is called (I believe) the JCW grille side scuttle design (see photo below).

Mine departed the vehicle at some undisclosed location. I really only need the passenger's side one (i.e., the one in the foreground of the photo), as the driver's side one is still in place. The fundamental problem I have is not in locating one for sale -- it's with the outrageous upcharge that merchants seem to place on these little bits of trim plastic! MINI wants upwards of $100 for a set; some so-called discount outlets still charge upwards of $80 for a set...!

Anybody out there got a bead on where some second-hand replacements can be had for reasonable money? Sources like eBay, etc. don't seem to have anything but folks selling brand new sets at the above-mentioned crazy prices... I mean, seriously; what's a $2 piece of molded plastic really worth...?!

 

Because it is a JCW you probably won't find any at the auto recycles (formerly known as auto wreckers)
It maybe time to upgrade to some custom side skuttles

 

I paid $150.00 for a new OEM set last summer. You will never find a replacement for only a few bucks.
