Feb 1st is the "Classroom Session" and Feb 6th is the "On Course Session"

And you know I'll be there for both! :hehe: Something about instructing.. or running the thing...

ANYWAYS, on the 1st, we'll be at Carolina Ice Palace in Charleston, SC. Pizza @ 6:30pm & "class" starting at 7/7:30pm. On the 6th I think we get underway around 10am IIRC.

PM me if ya have any questions/need directions/send me sponsor money... whatever!

I'll be there for the 1st! but the 6th conflicts with the pulley/grille/sway bar/springs party in the Hills of NC since it is on the 5th. Maybe I can just get up early on Sunday and drive straight there....

Will there be another one soon

Wanna buy a MINI One front sway bar?? It's smaller than the stock on an MCS.... I did an alta rear, but decided not to do the front, and now it's just sitting around collecting dust.

Will there be another one soon

Chris
Nope. Well.. atleast not a school. Once a year. Classroom the week before & on-site SuperBowl Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing you on the First. And yes, you should get up early and drive back for Sunday. :P

Well now that you mentioned (and I woke up) that the 6th is superbowl sunday I am not going to make the trip up there on Sat. because that would mean an early wake up for the drive home to prepare for Sunday...

Count me in for both days.

What do we have to do to sign up?

Basically you just need to show up on 1 Feb @ 6:30pm-ish @ the Carolina Ice Palace. Pizza from Rick Hendrick Imports starts then and the class starts around 7pm.

Our regular SCCA monthly meeting is tonight @ 7:30 in the MINI of Charleston showroom. You're more than welcome to come!

Glad you're going to make it! And Chris, that's THE David, the one that installed my intake. I sent you a PM Chris (about the class).

I drove over to MINI of Chas at 7:40 and the showroom loked dark and they had already put the chain across the driveway.... Did I miss it? was there a secret knock or decoder ring I was supposed to get before coming

Let me know the next time you guys get together.....

We were there. Damn cleaning crew did the chain. The showroom always looks dark at night. The windows are tinted.

You don't get the decoder ring or learn the secret knock until you join the SCCA.

ANYWAY, normally the meeting is on the Third Tuesday of every month. This month the postcards went out to members with the WRONG date on them (the 11th instead of the 18th). We WILL be meeting again on the 18th FOR SURE. Anyone can attend, you don't have to be an SCCA member. I'd like it if you were, but that's not a prerequisite. I think you'll be seriously thinking about joining after the 6th!!!

No problem. It happens.... I should have just parked at the edge of the driveway and walked in but it had been a really long day (still hadn't been home from work at that point).

I'll catch you on the 18th then! PLease let me know if it is at the same time.

I look forward to the class and the road coarse. What is it to join SCCA? I have no problem joining even if I don't start really participating for awhile until I think my car is up to snuff.....

It's the same time. The monthly meeting of the Charleston Chapter of the South Carolina Region Sports Car Club of America is the Third Tuesday of each month @ 7:30pm in the MINI of Charleston showroom.

Yearly dues are $70 for an individual and less than double that for a "family membership"

I've read your signature. The MINI is definitely up to autocrossing. It's almost ALWAYS the monkey behind the wheel that needs upgrading.

Racing is 90% Driver, 7% Car, & 3% luck.

I think I joined at an AutoX and didn't have to pay to race since I joined...of course that may have been something they were doing when I joined...not sure if they still do. That was 2 years ago.

Yeah, you get one free autocross if you join the SCCA.

Well, if that was the case, we should all be in the same class. Why divide them up? Just kidding!
