2015 Cooper S base Stereo

Can I buy the NBT Part #9351672 and 9367673 and just install or will it need to be coded? If so what does that cost? Found a unit on eBay that has screen head unit and remote iDrive control
thanks

Anything, in theory, can be done. However, this would cost thousands of dollars. Aside from the equipment, the wiring harnesses in cars with the basic stereo are completely different from thise with the upgraded units. The wiring for the iDrive controller also is not there. Additionally, the inner dash itself is different. The metal behind the dash will need to be modified, or the dash completely replaced to make it work. Plus, there will need to be coding, as the car will not automatically recognize features it was not built with.

It all depends on your cars specs. Very doable these days and at a reasonable cost. But it's something you have to really want so you won't have any regrets. Is the retrofit worth it to you in terms of what you're getting? Is this your daily or will you have this car only for a short period of time? These all factor into your decision.
