Help with wheels for my first Mini

Hi there

I'm about to pick up a set of used wheels for a base Mini 2009, which I expect to buy this weekend (my first!)
I fell in love with Keskin KT3 and found these tyre/rim combos, but I'm not sure if any of them fit R56.

I found these 3 sets of Keskins:

Rims: 8Jx17, ET 30
Tires: 215/40 R17

Rims: 7Jx15, ET 25
Tires: 195/45 R15

Rims: 7Jx15, ET 35
Tires: 195/45 R15

Thank you.

25-35 will poke a bit, but if you’re ok
with that would go for the 17x8 out of
the 3 listed.
7x15 et 35 would be a better fit IF
they clear the brakes front and back,
but 195/45/15 is WAY too short!
Try 195/60/15 or 205/55/15 (limited
selection). 205/50/15 is still very
short but not as bad as 205/45/15
And better selection of performance
tires.
ET 25 would definitely poke out
too much.

All right, thanks a lot, Cristo.
So... 215/40R17 on 17x8ET30 is the safest bet of the above three, is that correct? (I dont mind them sticking out a bit)

I also found some classic BBS wheels in the area (since I'm flying in I have to have more than one option)

Rims: 6Jx15 ET35
Tires: 195/50 R15 - another seller got them without the tires (half the price)
--
Rims: 6Jx15 ET45
Tires: 195/50 R15
(these fit, I think)

The stock ET is about 45, but
195/50/15 is pretty darn short.
Try looking at Tire Rack for a
wheel and tire combo for your
make, model and year, and see
if they have anything you love at
a reasonable price.
They come mounted and balanced
and shipping is usually very fast
and reasonable.

Depending on where you live,
consider summer tires for the
new wheels and put winter tires
on the ones currently on the MINI.

you can also try willtheyfit.com to get a visual representation of how the wheels will look compared to each other.

Thanks, I think I will go with 215/40R17 rims mounted on 17x8ET30.

I'm in europe but Tire Rack and willtheyfit.com are both very useful.
This site might even be better at comparing sizes.

Both 215/45/17 and 215/40/17 will
work fine, but a lot better selection
in 215/45/17.

I went with the 215/45 R17, looking forwarding to mounting them on the car in a week or so.
Thanks, guys!
