Tip-R56S In Boneyard With Some Good Parts
Just a heads up-
My ‘09 Cooper S ended up in a New England junkyard late this winter, has some parts that someone might like to get their hands on. Car is @ General Recycling In Tiverton, RI, Stock # 09190242, last 7 vin TT97561, A63 Blue. If you go fishing for parts BE ABSOLUTELY SURE THEY COME FROM THIS PARTICULAR CAR.
1) Mini accessory xenon headlights in nice shape, undamaged. They were in trunk. Remember these need programming to function correctly when replacing standard halogen headlights. The yard may not know what they have/had, might search halogen (yellow sigs iirc) in which case you can steal them! Just be sure they came from this car.
2) Mini accessory LED fog lights. Be sure to get the bumper wiring intact, control box above left headlight (visible in yard pics)& switch/wiring. These are really nice lights, can probably get instructions online or PM me if you acquire them, I probably have the paperwork. Again these could be a steal but getting the yard to correctly remove them will be a challenge.
3) 17” Multi Spoke wheels in good condition (certainly straight) with decent Blizzaks on them.
4) Trailer hitch (probably not worth buying used but you can research it)
5) New OE clutch & flywheel
6) Trans/Diff was perfect
7) DO NOT BUY THE ENGINE, I think it’s junk (has a new, new version valve cover though)
8) Body Parts were in nice shape.
9) Interior was in nice shape. (Had grey/black Wet Okole seat covers which I have-PM me if interested (cheap!))
Happy hunting if any of it interests you, especially if you’re near enough to go there. Don’t know what’s still there.
