Max tire fit on F60

I am about due for some tire on my JCW Countryman. It came with 225/50r18 runflats. I would like to get CONTINENTAL PURECONTACT LS in a larger tire on stock rims. Has anyone done 245/50r18?

I installed Michelin Pilot Super Sport 235/50r18 in June 2017, now have 44,100 miles no issues

Excellent thread. Yeah I was wondering what was available for ole Countryman. I was thinking Michelin Pilots also. These Goodyears are singing at 13,900 , geesh.
I have rotated twice. Its not an aggressive tread either. But its a durn Goodyear ! Had a set of RSAs on another car and it was loud after 20K . Couldn't stand the noise at 28K but were wearing great.

I usually look at the specs of the tires on tirerack, They will post height and width of tire and what size rim it fits and Load range. Good information when you want to go up a size. RPM at 60mph helps also.
I like the Michelins , but may have to get a spare. annoyed.
F60JCW that post on here actually put a nice set of wheels and Michelins on his countryman, and it look great. I'd like something like that, but could go with a 235 or 245. wider you know.
Depends
will watch what you get here on this thread.

Do you think you still have room for just a little more? When you turn the wheel all the way in/out, do you still have good clearance?

Seabiscuit, I am going to stick with the stock JCW rims. I already calculated the speed difference and going with a bigger tire would fix my speedometer error, or it will be close. I use my cell phone as a speedometer most of the time. I am also looking for a compact spare that doesn't cost $400+.

Wow, it costs that much and only includes spacers and links?!
I paid that price for my Mopar Jeep lift but it also came with new springs and Fox shocks and rode/handled better than stock.
Or KW V1 coilovers for my Audi's... also around that price.
That MINI kit is like $500 worth of parts at the most.

They were the first to make these for the F60 and made in USA. Lower production numbers and all. Yep the Jeep market has all kinds of stuff.
