Need help finding line connection please

I just cleaned the intake valves and replaced the thermostat housing for my daughters R56. There is a small black line that I can’t seem to see it where it goes. It connects to the top of the transmission. Please help!

Looks like the breather line that goes to the valve cover to me. ( Small line on top of picture.)
A line is laying around in your garage somewhere.

The other water line missing the clamp should go to the thermostat housing. Hard to tell with picture so close.

Notes are overrated.

correction, small line on top goes to vacuum pump via line missing, not valve cover but I'm sure you gathered that by now.

I didn't do a good job labeling it, but all of the lines are hooked up well, except for one. There is a hard plastic small tube that comes off the transmission and does not reach anything. I am 100% sure I never unhooked it, and it was like that when I got the car. It does not seem to impact drive-ability, but clearly it should be hooked to something. I can try to take a better photo if that would help.

In that case, I don't do automatics until my left hip or knee give out but the above part may go to nowhere.

I know someone who should be able to help confirm though......

It’s a vent tube off the trans. It’s not hooked to anything. I’ve had my trans out twice and very familiar with that little tube.

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't leaving a potential problem out there.
