Monster iCruze information (for the iPod)

For those of you curious about the Monster iCruze, I received the following email and link from them.. if you read around the survey, it might answer some questions about the iCruze..

[font=verdana, arial, sans-serif][size=2]iCruze is one of the most technologically advanced iPod interfaces on the market. With iCruze you get the most reliable, most complete control of your iPod from your factory car stereo. iCruze also gives you a direct connection for crystal clear sound quality. And it charges your iPod the entire time you're driving, so when you leave the car your iPod is charged up and ready to go. When you put music, driving and iPod together, life is good.

As a special thank you for your interest, Monster is offering an exclusive discounted price on the main iCruze Interface -- only $199 (normally $249). This offer is available only to those signed up for iCruze news and while supplies last. Additional iCruze hardware purchases may be required for your car -- our online iCruze Configuration Guide will tell you exactly what you need! Find out more about iCruze, including important compatibility information with your car.

To take advantage of this special offer, simply do the following:
  1. Answer a quick survey about Monster iCruze
  2. Confirm iCruze availability/hardware requirements for your car via our online Configuration Guide
  3. Submit your information so we can contact you when iCruze is ready to ship and to process your special price order
This offer is made exclusively to you and valid only until December 14, 2004 so be sure to complete the next steps to lock-in and reserve your special iCruze pricing!

I've also heard from Monster and spent all of about 2 minutes checking out features, prices. What a joke! On paper, at least, the Ice-Link appears to be a much better unit in terms of features .... and at a dramatically lower price. Without the extra display - but with a special $50 intro discount - the iCruze is closing in on $400!!! I'm ready to order Ice-Link.
