1998 Lexus LS400, clean title, no accidents listed ever in 21 years. Adult owned
I have maintenance records through Lexus since the car was purchased brand new, dealer maintained at Lexus of Kuni in Colorado.
The 1UZ motor in this car is known to get well over 500k miles, arguably one of the most reliable engines on the planet.
Mine is currently at 217k miles and runs like a champ! I am the 3rd owner and the last woman who owned it was older and had it for 17 years. I have driven to and from Texas and colorado and she has never let me down, timing belt was completed within the past 30k miles, I have attached a photo of the belt. AC is cold and Heat is hot.
Options for the car include self leveling HID headlights and the heated front driver and passenger seats.
EVERYTHING works exactly how it should, memory seats, power seat belt height adjustment, power front seats and power tilt and telescoping steering wheel. Interior is pretty much perfect, no tears. Stains etc on the seats.
Modifications include the following:
BC BR Coilovers (1000.00)
Windows are tinted about 10%(250.00)
Mach V wheels with brand new Barum Bravuris tires with certs from Discount. (Wheels themselves are 300 apiece+tires=1700.00) 18x9.5 with 245/40/18 rears and 235/40/18 fronts
BOSS touchscreen Headunit with android auto and apple car play connectivity. (260.00)
I also spent 16 hours doing a full 2 step paint correction and then ceramic coated the entire car, all windows and wheels with dinowax ceramic coating. In case you dont know, ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat, adds extreme gloss, rain and liquid repellant, uv repellant and will protect the paint and everything on the car. It is a 9H on the ceramic scale so it is more resistant to scratches as well.(a professional shop would charge around 1500-2000, this is the 4th car I've done so I have experience)
Other then that the exhaust, and engine are completely stock. Also will come with the oem lexus 5 spoke 16x7 wheels. Also I have 2 keys, one is the keyless entry. The other is a regular key without keyless entry, she also has the original owners manuals, original tool box and original medical kit.
I will get some interior photos posted up as soon as I get her vacumed! I figured I'd post these up to see If there was any interest.

I am mainly looking for a JCW r53 or possibly r56 or a cooper s , mileage does not matter as long as they were well cared for. The main reason I figured I'd post this here is because it's my best shot at finding a clean cooper. My moms had an r56 clubman and it was a BLAST to drive even with the NA motor.

I am located in Lubbock, TX and i am willing to travel within reason, I also may be able to put some money on top depending on the trade

I don't know that this is the best place to find a match. MINI owners are typically not interested in a big Lexus. I suggest you separate the transactions to get the deal done. Sell the Lexus locally and search for the MINI that meets your needs.

 

It is already up for sale locally so we will see but it's worth a shot, someone could be interested in a more comfortable luxury sedan if they need more space and I still get ~21mpg in town and 30 on the freeway so it's by no means a gas guzzler for a 4.0 V8

 

Just in case anyone on the forum IS interested in buying this Lexus, I owned an LS430 and it was possibly the nicest car I've ever driven (this includes my current Mercedes and Jaguar). Lexus doesn't fool around when they build a car. The age and mileage on this one would be a concern but, depending on the final price and its maintenance history, it could be well worth a look.

 

Thank you for the comment! I have service records through lexus themselves since the car was brand new! In terms of service she runs like a champ! I posted the timing belt photos so that there was some peace of mind there.

 

Just out of curiosity what are you asking locally? I have a good friend that's building one of these, with a ls swap. totally different than the norm, I like that! and love Lexus!

 

Haha it should fit perfectly. The engine bay on these things is massive, If i keep her i will consider a 1j or 2j swap, although I have thought of fitting the ISF motor into the car and calling it an LSF.
I am asking 6k locally, I expect to be lowballed of course but I have yet to see one pop up for sale as clean, with as much original equipment or as well kept oh and with as much service history.
