Is the LUK clutch kit complete to do a DYI clutch job for 2003 MCS R53?

 

Hello I am very much intrested in this kit as I currently have a 2007 Mini convertible R52 that the clutch is about to completely go out can you please verified that this kit well work what that vehicle and that it is DIY..
If all works how soon can I get it??? As I stated above I dont have much time with the current.

Based on the listing it looks like a basic clutch kit which includes clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing and alignment tool. It doesn't come with the flywheel which is recommended to replace since its a dual mass unit.

Mini clutches aren't an easy diy. You have to drop the subframe to gain full access to the transmission which means disconnecting the steering knuckle, power steering feed and return lines and all ball joints. If you are going to do it plan ahead and order replacement inner and outer ball joints and you may want to consider replacing / upgrading the lower control arm bushings and the sway bar bushings since you'll be in there.
