How to Retain Steering wheel controls

Hello,
2014 R55.

I purchased a Double Dinn stereo from Crutchfield. Installed and loving it. Unfortunately, crutchfield did not have/make an adaptor to allow me to retain my steering wheel controls. This forces me to look down (eyes off the road) when controlling my head unit.

Any ideas on how I can hook my controls back up and use them?

Also, to add to this. Is there any way to clear the error code I receive on my tach as a result of my factory unit being removed and the clock not able to sync?

Thanks!
Mike

don't have the answer specifically but this company https://connects2.com as well as several others make aftermarket connection devices that might help you.

as for the error codes, probably can be coded but I don't know your car enough to advise. I have aftermarket stereo in my gen 3 and can't access coding unless I re-hook up factory amp.

BTW - you are in wrong forum section as you have a second generation MINI.

Thanks for the reply and the suggest of connects2.com. I will check them out. I am currently looking at Pac-SWIx module. I have been working with Crutchfield and Pac to get this done.
Didn't realize I was in the wrong place...thank you!
Cheers.
Mike
