2005 MCS Cabrio Blue looking for it's new home

Model: Convertible
Price: $2250
Mileage: 115000

With sad reluctance, I am offering up my 2005 MCS Convertible. It has been one of my utmost joys to own this car. If I had tools, time, knowledge and space, I would keep it forever. The bearings on the supercharger are getting noisy. The belt from the SC to the other components is either not turning or getting slack, so the car overheats after a short time. Just replaced the overflow tank; did not help. Probably needs a water pump and maybe a thermostat. This is a full disclosure listing: this car has had one major hit, and one minor one. The alignment has been imperfect since the first accident; I never pursued having that redone. Clutch was replaced by Mini at 25k miles; I am the second owner from 8900 miles on. Right rear panel rust by taillight as can happen with the R53s. Bumper mounted driving lights not operating. Everything else works properly.

Included options:

Fog lights

Heated seats

Harmon Kardon sound system: I swapped the CD head unit for a cassette one and added a CD changer; all are included

Headlight washers

Navigation

Leather interior

Chrome package

Regular (not run flat) tires plus run flat spare mounted on Kazera rim.

Recent work done includes:

Tune-up, repair of air intake and outgo leaks from supercharger (ironically), emergency brake, regular brakes, door lock electric actuator, window lift, steering work, new windshield. Receipts and details are available on request. This car is right for you if you swing your own wrench and know these cars well. There is plenty of life left in this car with the right time and attention. I wish I was able to do it. I know that a forum member will give it the time and love it deserves.

Ahh!

Paint finish is pretty good.

Common R53 issue.

Replaced run-flats with standard tires.

Some wear here but top seals well and goes up and down perfectly.

Full instrument package

Navigation.

Seam needs closure.

Under dash switch works; just swap in new lights.

Mounted spare on Kazera rim.
