2006 Mini Cooper JCW GP #1405

This GP is in excellent shape and boasts an extensive maintenance history, more recently the clutch, control arm bushings, supercharger oil were replaced along with many other items (more detail can be found below). It also has high-quality modifications including Bilstein suspension, Swift springs, and Wilwood calipers. I purchased the Mini from the original owner, he took great care of it during his ownership and I’ve continued the same. I’ve been a Mini enthusiast for quite a few years owning over a dozen Minis.

As previously mentioned, this GP comes with larger 4-piston Wilwood 13” front calipers and 11.75” rear brakes. It has new front pads and a fresh brake flush. I have two extra sets of pads. It also has a nice sounding and less restrictive Miltek header-back exhaust with a brand new Magnaflow catalytic converter (2.5”) and oxygen sensors. The Mini has newish Bilstein struts and Swift springs that were installed roughly 15K miles ago. Several other add-ons include: 19mm adjustable rear sway bar, TSW engine mount, ATI 2% crankshaft pulley, Screamin Demon coil pack, red plugs, IE fixed camber plates, 20% and 70% rear tint, Cabrio braces, Osram Rallye bulbs, wheel stud kit, upgraded speakers, etc.

Within the last 3K miles the GP received lots of preventive maintenance including a coolant overhaul (coolant flush, temperature sensor, thermostat, water pump), CAT replacement with quality oxygen sensors, single-mass flywheel clutch kit and various gaskets and components, rear main seal with transmission seal, timing chain tensioner, oil filter assembly and gasket, polyurethane front control arm bushings, replaced supercharger oil, fresh oil pan gasket, along with various other items. If you are familiar with the R53 generation of Minis these are common failure points which are both costly and labor-intensive. Most of the repairs were preventive, I had the full intention of keeping the GP long-term, but due to a growing family, it must go.

The Mini has zero rust, it’s been in Southern California from new to June 2017. There are several smaller rock chips on the front bumper and hood. The windshield is a year old and with a few filled in rock chips. The rear fender arches have signs of rubbing from running wider tires. I’m looking to replace them. Aside from this, the paint is shiny and relatively defect-free. There are no major scratches or dents. There are no leaks or other issues.

I have all the manuals and the original Window Sticker as well as the JCW certificate. Clean Utah title in hand. Zero accidents. CarFax is available for interested parties.

I love mine. I have had a number of different Mini's, Justa's, S's etc. and the GP is a unique experience. Hard to explain, not the fastest today, but the overall experience is visceral and a total blast.

Yes, the key maintenance has been addressed. I did it with the intention of keeping the Mini long-term. Who knows it might still happen and I'm more than happy with that.

Another price drop. Don't miss all the maintenance this GP received in the last 3K miles. There is no CEL. Runs great with tight suspension. Brand new tires, new brake pads, and brake fluid, coolant, clutch, control arm bushings, supercharger oil, oil housing, oil pan gasket and much more. The larger brakes front and rear really make the car a blast to drive.

 

Why isn't this car selling. These go for big money on BaT. Looks super nice to me. GP's don't come up for sale very often. Somebody grab this.
