What does you clutch engagement feel like?

So I have an R55 base with 12x,xxxKM on it.
Original MINI clutch. The engament point is fine and not my concern here. Weight is also fine and it does not slip under any circumstance. At all. Doesn’t make any weird noises either.

The engagement feel is absolutely terrible. I mean, it’s never been great (purchased @ 50,000km) but lately it just plain sucks. It’s almost like playing a lotto scratchy when ever starting from a stop, I never know what to expect. Maybe it’ll take a few RPM and settle nicely. Maybe it’ll be grabby and choke the the engine. Or it’ll be grabby at first but then slip and sync comfortably. Or it could even slip too much and then grab suddenly.

The clutches in my R56 S (5x,xxxKM) and R60 All 4 S (5x,xxxKM) (both N18 engines) are absolutely perfect. Clear communicative engagement, perfectly predictable and dead consistant. I have driven friends R56 S models(both N14 engines), one before and after a fresh clutch, the other with an 8x,xxxKM old original clutch that were also great. Makes driving the Clubman a downer even though it’s better set up than my other 2 (suspension, brakes, etc wtv).

Is it just a base model thing? Like it’s just awful as a default and I’m spoiled by the other cars? Should I just have it replaced even though it doesn’t show any symptoms of being worn out? Is this a symptom of a tired clutch? I’ve been through many different cars, performance or not, built engines, upgraded clutches, dead ones etc...never really encountered this. It leaves me feeling like an unskilled beginner driver pretty often.

Anyone out there with a justa that can chime in with their experience?
