Suspension Factory JCW - OEM Suspension Replacement Part # Question

Factory JCW - OEM Suspension Replacement Part # Question
Hey did a bunch of searching but couldn't really find much. I've got an 06 factory JCW (without the sport kit, from what I can tell) and I've got a rear strut that has seen better days. I'd really like to replace just the rears, but am not opposed to replacing all 4 struts.
I don't need anything fancy, just OEM replacements.. but here's the trouble I am having. The JCW has different suspension that a standard Cooper S and (i assume) different than the GP.

I guess my questions are:

-How can I tell JCW (non sport) suspension apart from S stuff?
The term JCW means too many damn things these days...

Try realoem.com. They do really well with car parts and numbers.
That said, the base suspension for the Gen I and Gen II MINI JCWs was called the “Sport Suspension”. This came with black springs. There was an optional JCW Sport suspension that came with red springs. Each of these were a step up in performance from the other. That is, the base JCW suspension was a step up from the S suspension (stiffer shocks, springs, and sway bars). The JCW sports suspension was another step up from that.
If you are just looking at replacing struts, if the rears are gone then the fronts are gone (or well on their way out), too. Here is a thread that might help you. Any of these shocks will work for you.

Yeah I looked at some of those threads and I really just don't want to spend the money on aftermarket stuff. My Mini is my winter car anyways, and I just got new Ohlins coilsovers for my Impreza so replacements are what I am after.

Aftermarket struts will cost you less than OEMs.
Yes, the factory struts usually cost more or are very close and the Koni Reds are super smooth for daily driving, our link is at the bottom of the thread above that eddie posted.

Ended up going with the B4s. They feel very much like stock JCW stuff, maybe a bit softer. I think the softness is coming from NOT hitting bump stops on blown factory suspension though, so take that for what it's worth.

I think Bilstein does much better with their valving which may also play into their smoothness/softness feeling, at least that was my thought when I installed the B8s.
And, just in time for late spring and summer cruising.
Let us know your thoughts about them as you get to spend some time with them.
