mdecoder works for me. It lists HID headlights as "S522A Xenon Light".

The bimmer.work site works for me, the minivin site doesn't right now
sometimes they work, sometimes not..... I have found it's hit or miss
If your car is coded for the xenon lights, I would try to find a set, I have them on both our minis....they work great....but expensive to find a good pair
When I enter my partial VIN or the full VIN, I always print out the form with everything on the car
