Curious if factory mud flaps or mudguards were ever offered for the Gen I MINI's........I don't mean the flimsy rubber flaps that you can get over the auto parts counter, I mean the little contoured hard plastic ones that are made for the body........
I'm sure you know what I mean....I don't have a picture because I cannot find anything for the first gen cars for the rear....I can find fronts all over the web.....picture below is for '07 & later
I purchased a set of the "rally" style ones for my Tiguan from a company called Rokblokz. They don't currently have anything listed for our chassis (newer ones though, yes), so I've sent them an email asking if there's intention to produce any R53 offerings, or if the later options would adapt easily enough.
Rear flaps were only produced for the pre-refresh R50: http://motoringfile.com/howto/Rear%20Mud%20Flaps.PDF
They were stick-on over the existing wheel arch trim. This is a pic of the Euro version (the US version has a marker light).
Some modifications necessary to mount on an S, and the trim won't exactly match.
