Interior/Exterior Painting the boby plastic...???
Painting the boby plastic...???
OK, I've seen both on the web and in person that several people have painted the fender flairs to match their body color. The one's I have seen in person look great and one could never tell that they were once the black plastic.
SO, I just came back from my body shop guy and he felt like it could be a problem. Felt that the texture would show through and felt that the paint would not hold up well for the winter driving.
Could use some input here from those who have succeeded and or failed at this mod.

I believe that most people sand them to knock down the nobbly bits and prime (some twice) before painting with a flex additive. I've heard of some people just priming twice, but I'm not so sure if I'd do that myself...
After you spray adhesion promoter, you put many layers of primer
with flex agent and sand it down to a smooth finish.
Get it done elsewhere where they know how to do this without
giving you problems.
