Interior surface color.

Hi all this is my first post and I hope I am not repeating an earlier topic. I went through 26 pages of posts to try and prevent being repetitive but when I realized there were 61 more pages to read I gave up. So I hope I didn't miss this question somewhere in the mix.
I have just ordered a chili red/black and really like the looks of the red interior dash over the alloy patina. But I am worried about the durability of the colored interior. Has anyone with a colored interior had trouble with it scratching or fading or whatever?? I still don't have a production number (ordered the lsd) and there is still time to change my order so I thought I would ask for help. Thanks to all.

Hi Wiggles and welcome to NAM!

I've had my painted dash since August 2003 and I have had absolutely no problems with it at all. No scratches or nicks, and no signs of fading. All I do to maintain it is give it quick coat of wax every once in a while.

If you like the idea of the red dash, go for it!
