I own a 2007 Mini S convertible. I have developed some electrical problems. The heater/air conditioner fan quit working, the air bag light came on and the seat belt warning light and signal indicate an unbelted condition even when the seat belt is connected. I also had a problem with the wipers going on when the car is started, wiping four times and then stopping. That problem has stopped. All of these problems have surfaced in the last two weeks. Car has been maintained, has 48000 miles and this is the first time this has happened.
I would appreciate any help. I tried my local after market mechanic but he doesn't know and I have an appointment with the Mini dealer in Ontario Ca 1/22...he is 90 miles away.

How old is the battery? A marginal battery in these cars can cause all kinds of weird problems.

 

battery is less than a year old.
it's an Interstate that my Mini mechanic who works on BMW and Mini's installed.
