p173b

Ran my 2007 mini cooper s Friday morning. Tried to start it Friday evening and it wouldn't start. Engine cranks normally, like it is going to, but, will never start. Thought it was battery, since its cold out, charged it up and still same thing. Connected my obd to it and got fault code p173b, which should be temp. sensor. I wouldn't think that would cause it not to start. Anyone else have this issue?

I checked that thread out before posting. I was just wondering if this code would cause the car not to start. When pressing button, engine cranks normally, but will not turn over. Prior to this, I would get yellow check engine light come on and I checked it had the same code, but it went away. Of course, it was a pending code at that time. Car ran fine. This time it shows up as an actual fault. Would this cause the car not to start? I just want to know so if I replace the sensor, which I already purchased, if the car will start after fixing the issue.

Thanks for any help.
