Hi all,

I got a replacement key, but the dealer didn't program it for me. Does anyone have instructions on how to program/initialize/register my key to the car?

It involves holding the fob to the embossed key on the right side of the steering column, while trying to start the car. you need to have the original key away from the car so it doesn't get detected while you do it, and then ultimately bringing it to the same spot on the steering column. It's a bit futzy, but there are some youtube vids that show what to do. I'm not expert enough to advise you, but if you find one for an F-series BMW, you should be good.
