well last year I was going to order a Cooper and they initially quoted me $3000 markup. Once it came down to showing my configuration, their "best deal--almost nothing" markup was $1,500--which was still too much for me. I think it depends on how hard you insist.

Happy Birthday to your MINI!
Clover
I just picked mine up tonight from Alexander
the total price was.. 22,387 out the door. (2005 mini cooper premium package) that included state tax blah blah blah, the sticker price was 19,000 I think the sales tax was around 1600 although I don't have the paper work in front of me. I must say that of all the cars I have purchased, this one is by far the best, and I am happy with the price as well. They detailed the car for me, had a FULL tank of gas ready and waiting, and I have 2 years road side assistance, I don't have to pay for ANY tune ups as it is included and I mentioned that I didn't like the area of their dealership, and because of this I am provided with a service that will pick my mini up from Long Beach dealership on a flatbed and tow my car to their dealership for the tune up and give me a loaner car while it is there! I don't know why I have ever bothered with corvettes in the past! I am wickedly happy with the price, the servce and my new MINI!! Hope this helps. Janine
well congrats on your purchase, you are gonna love the car!
ya, the free service is great, however the one thing that will annoy you about alexander mini, is the 1+ month wait time for service/check-up issues. i called this week to make an appointment for my 10k, and the sonnest is dec 14!
and the flatbed service is very cool to
thanks

Hi Giant,
They have already warned me to make an appointment four weeks in advanced which if I can be organized shouldn't be a problem. I'm already in LOVE with my mini, it feels SO good, I almost can't explain it! J
