Need some input about wheels!

Ok, so I'm in a little bit of a quandry about what to do with the wheel situation on my car. I see a few feasible options that I'm considering... any input from you guys would be great. First off let me preface by saying that I've currently got a set of 15" Rota Circuit 8s (Scott's old autocross wheels ) with Azenis Sports on them and 17" S-lites from a Cooper S that have decent street performance tires (but by no means autocrossable). The 17s are currently sitting in a stack in my very small room... and my roommate is getting annoyed with them. Hence the thread!

I don't really see the 205/50 Azenis being feasible to keep on all the time since they have a significantly smaller diameter from stock and wear out very quickly. So this leads me to my options... by the way, I'm an autocross junkie so I've got to have something lightweight with some stick to it or I'll hate myself forever.

First, I could use the S-heavies as street wheels and use the Rotas as autocross wheels... very easy since I don't have to buy or sell anything but I don't necessarily like having MCS wheels because then people think my car is an MCS... I've got to represent the Coopers! Although I do think they look good... Also changing out wheels is a pain (especially with the huge S-lites) but really more practical as far as tires go.

Second, I found somebody on NAM who wants to trade S-lites for 15" 7-holes. What I'm thinking is I could mount my autocross tires on the 7 holes and keep them for autocross, then get some taller 15s (205/55) and put them on the Rotas and still be stylish on the streets and have good light wheels for autocross, without looking like a MCS wannabe. Also, this way I'm not stuck with massive heavy wheels, and street tires for a 15" wheel are significantly cheaper than for a 17"!

Finally, I could also just sell both of the sets I've got right now and pick up a set of lighter 16" wheels and get the 215/45 Azenis on those... tire wear would still suck but they're much closer to stock diameter. If I do this though, then I wouldn't be able to go to r compounds without buying another set of wheels like I may want to do after I get bored of STS.

Ok, so what are your thoughts? I'm so confused.

btw, sorry I didn't make it a poll, I couldn't figure out how.
