Hi, I've been waiting so long to get my mini and tomorrow is the big day, I am so excited. Two days ago I was walking my dog on Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, and I watched more than 50 minis drive by it was so amazing. Then I felt sorry for myself as I wasn't with them. As I am new to this, can anyone tell me if there is an upcomming event or day drive? Anything! Thanks for any help you can offer, Janine

Congratulations, in advance, on joining the MINI Nation.
It so happens that a group of MINIacs meets up for breakfast on the 2nd Saturday of each month. Here's the info:
Long Beach, L.A. & Orange County members meet for breakfast at 9am, Saturday, NOVEMBER 13th. River's End, Seal Beach, CA ....GREAT FOOD & ON THE BEACH

River's End is right on the Beach at the Famous "Ray Bay" in Seal Beach!

Try and get there by 8:30am so we can sit down at 9am as this place tends to get busy after about 9:30am. Parking is $2.00 but you get a dollar taken off of your bill. Hope to see ya there!

Another group, Team Mighty MINIz, meets on Sundays at the Vilage Coffee Roaster you might try in case you can't make it Saturday.

 

Not from CA, but a few observations:

1) Getting your MINI...awesome!! Those first days of motoring are magic. Enjoy every second!

2) 50 MINIs driving by!!! Wow, I've never even seen that. Definitely inspiring!!!

3) MINI Nation? LOVE that term...mind if I borrow it sometime??

 

Saturday morning at 8:30? No beauty sleep for me, but it's worth it! I might even make it for the Sunday deal as well, as I don't know if I can contain my excitement! Thanks so much for your help, and please don't leave me out of the loop if you hear of anything else, I'm all fired up. Janine

 

Be sure to check out www.teammightyminiz.com too. Its mainly set in the socal area but we have members from all over the US. We have a nice meet every sunday for coffee and then a beautiful canyon drive

They are bad pictures as it was dark, but I picked my mini up last night, bought a bottle of Champagne and went down to the garage to toast the newest member of the family. I just don't know how to view them??

Goodmorning!!! Thanks for all the welcomes it really feels like a new family! Wanda, I am going to bring my mother with me for Breakfast tomorrow!!! My only worry it getting up early enough. I am really looking forward to it!

My dog Spencer's eyelashes are real, can you believe it? I've trained him since he was 13 weeks old and he gets my shoes, remote control, keys, and shuts the door, I'm just waiting for him to be sitting on the couch drinking my beer!!
