Like always Way has cool new parts, https://www.waymotorworks.com/produc...at=1041&page=1 I have a 16 JCW HT, being realistic, what can these do for me? HP boost or more reliable than the OEM plastic? Both? I want them because they look cool....what can you guys tell me about them?
no power, just reliability. if you plan on adding power through additional boost, charge pipe upgrade is a good idea as the plastic oem pipes will crack with too much pressure.
Potentially could have better flow since it does not pinch down like the stock ones but cannot imagine much. Also you would not even see these pipes on the car as they are on the sides/bottom of the engine out of site.
They could be a royal pain to install. Will for sure need to remove the whole area behind the engine such as the wiper covers, intake, and heat shield. You should be able to just remove the wheel liners to get to the sides and shield on the bottom to undo the clips.
We just installed the first set of these in the US and they went right on. They were a perfect fit too. The biggest thing is they don't flex like the stock rubber on the stock hoses.
We actually did both from underneath at the same time we installed the intercooler and they weren't hard to install.
Im going to be reinstalling my intercooler soon and was thinking about installing charge pipes as well. Might guinea pig the FTP pipes and report back...
I have them installed on my '15 MCS and they are great! More reliable, and they can handle the power. I'm not an expert, but it feels like the care responds better. This is my 1st mini and I've only owned the car for 2 months, and I installed them 2 weeks ago, and the car is exhilarating to drive!
Thank you very much! I watched it a bunch and i kept laughing because i love the noise...... and then the exhaust started to get rowdy!
Heck yeah, glad you like it. I took that in the dead of winter, you should have seen the steam coming out. It filled the garage! All that noise and the valve was only open at 50% ...
Clutch started a thread the other day about the Eventuri. The video was in German and it was a little hard to read the instrument's screen showing the 80-150 KMH time but apparently the car had a slower time than stock with the Eventuri installed yet faster than stock when the Eventuri scoop was taped over with duct tape.

Hey Way,
I tried installing mine over the weekend and they were an inch in diameter too small to fit over my intercooler. I have a factory JCW and I thought these were built for the JCWs. Do you know if they make a S version that is smaller in diameter? It fit perfectly off of the turbo and onto the intake manifold.

There are two different models. One for S and JCW. The JCW has a different intercooler than the S.
