Looking forward to joining the ranks of happy Mini owners
Everything seems to be coming together as planned, and it looks like I'll be picking up a 2003 Electric Blue Mini Cooper S within the next week or so.
It's equipped exactly how I wanted: premium, sport, cold weather, Harman Kardon stereo, leatherette, 17" wheels, roof, etc., and has a black roof and mirrors - something I REALLY like. The car only has 15,000 miles on the clock and I'm getting it for an EXCELLENT price.
One concern is that the car has the performance run-flats. Any recommendations for winter setups? Will a 15" Cooper wheel work on a MCS?

Aloha and welcome to NAM.
There are many winter wheel threads already in the tire forum- just search for winter or snow tires. 15" wheels will work OK for any MINI in the winter. More narrow tires can cut through the snow a bit more easily. Tirerack.com (talk to Alex) sells snow tires and basic rims or you can use your MINI rims as well.
Take a look at this thread for options on winter wheel packages in different sizes and price ranges-

Welcome to NAM, jussnb! the EB/B MCS is a sharp little beast...congrats on its impending delivery to you!I agree with Minihune. Give Alex at Tire Rack a call. Tire Rack is a NAM vendor. Go to the Vendor List on the NAM home page and scroll down....great prices and fast service!

From one new guy to another, welcome to NAM!!!
Everyone has been very gracious welcoming me to the site. Seems like there is plenty of info and the folks want BS you around, much!!
Welcome to the tribe (almost),
Check with TireRack for both winter wheel and tire combos. I live in an area with lots of winter sleet and slush interspersed with dry and cold. Alex at TireRackl set me up with 16" rims and Pirelli Snowsport 210s last year. Great tire for my kind of winter. He has a wide enough selection to accomodate just about any type of weather you may have.
