I have a 2009 R56 with the base audio system and, basically, it sounds awful. I'm looking for more clarity in the mid to high range, since I mostly listen to spoken word podcasts while driving. I came across Bavsound and the Stage 1 kit seems like it would fit my needs, but I'm curious how much of an improvement I can expect just replacing these two speakers.

 

The Bavsounds are a nice improvement over stock MINI speakers. To truly do them justice, more power is needed, at least in my case which was HK speakers to Bavsounds. You'll probably find that is the case with any speaker upgrade to your car.
