2018 JCW Exhaust Flap

Is it possible to code the vehicle to keep flap open in all three modes (minimalism-balanced-sport)? Is there a reason why I shouldn't want to do this?

It wouldnt be coding, just unplugging then you can switch modes and the flap will always be open. It takes about 3 secoonds to do:

And no, no reason why you wouldnt want to do this........ just like you wouldnt want to be in Eco mode....... EVER!

Yes, eco mode selected on a JCW model should give you a "you bought the wrong car message w/ a CEL light"

Unplugging the harness from the boot box worked great for the flap. Unfortunately on my 2018 JCW, it also disconnected the three rear cameras (left-center-right) as they are also included in that harness. I like those cameras. No obvious flap coding in Bimmercode unless it is under the 'advanced' coding area (not going there without some expert help). I would prefer coding it out and not snipping the wires going to the flap servomotor. Any ideas?

Interesting, that stinks actually.

You could always open it an then disconnect the spring that opens and closes the valve. Its near the actuator on the exhaust.
