The 2006 MCS I bought last year had a hole in the rear (leather) seat. I took it to a local upholstery shop for repair but they didn't do a very good job, so I'd like to find a replacement seat. I've been watching here and ebay for a R52 specific rear leather seat that has stitching similar to what my car has but haven't seen anything yet. So... will a later R53 or R50 seat fit? I assume a R56 or R57 won't fit? Thanks!

 

The convertible rear seat and interior panels are shaped to accommodate the roof mechanism. The only thing that might possibly fit is the R57 rear seat bottom (but not the R57 rear seat backs). None of the hardtop models will fit.

 

I figured that was likely the case. I guess I keep looking for a R52 seat bottom. Thanks

R52 seats in the rear are unique. At least the upper section is I know. The bottom I would have to check.

I saw that when he first posted it. In fact I bought something from the car. Unfortunately the seats are a very dark blue. I need the (Panther?) black.
