Is it worth the 6K?

[size=2][size=2]I ordered my MCS this morning from Classic Mini. Should get the car sometime in January. Can't wait! I ordered it with the JCW sc. I would love to know what other peoples opinions are about the JCW. My previous car was a 2001 Audi S4. I moded it heavily right from the start and voided my warranty. This time around I would like to keep my warranty as long as possible. Is the JCW worth the 6K? Does anyone in the NorCal Minis have a car equipped with the JCW that would be willing to give me a demo ride? I live in Sonoma county and would be willing to drive as far as Palo Alto or the East Bay. Thanks in advance.

I think so, as long as you are buying it for the warranty and resale value. Otherwise you can get the same performance for a lot less $$$.

From what I have read you will not regret the JCW upgrade on a new 2005 MCS. The opinion is that with the addition for '05 of air box, injectors, and gear box (factory change for MCS) it becomes a very polished and effective upgrade. The peace of mind of the factory warranty and possible increase in resale value were prime considerations for my upgradeing to the JCW package.

P.M. me if you are going to be in this area. I don't charge much for "Demos"

Hope this helps...

Webb Motorsports and MINI Mania are both now offering their own warranty of any modifications they sell (with a couple exceptions like the 19% pulley).
