Interested in swapping seats?

I have a new '05 MINI with heated sport seats in Space Gray/Panther Black Cloth. It's not what I ordered, but it's what I got, and there's nothing my dealership can, or WILL, do about it. But if you have an interest in these types of seats, both the front AND back, and would like to swap, and live anywhere remotely close to Reno, NV, let me know. Maybe we can work something out. I'm primarily interested in heated black leatherette sport seats, but am open to some other possibilities. Just let me know what you've got.

The current seats I have are in very good condition, and are essentially new, and I would want to exchange for something in like condition (though your seats may likely be older). I'm not sure how the job of switching front and back seats would be done, but I'm assuming it's doable, as long as someone is up to the challenge. If you wish to contact me regarding this, just sent me a private message, or just submit a new thread to this post. Anyone else that wants to comment on the issue of swapping seats, please feel free to post as well.

Good Afternoon BillyB,

I read about your problems in MINI talk. Can you provide me with a picture of your interior. I have heated Panther Black sport seats. I would be interested if I can convince my wife . Can you post them here or PM me.

If you can convince your wife...? Uh oh.

I'd be happy to post you some pics, and I'd be happy to see some pics of yours as well. I'll post mine as soon as I get a chance, hopefully later this evening.

Ummm...you live where? The East Coast? That a touch far, isn't it? I guess if you travel a lot, it might not be that far at all, depending.

Anyway, I'll get back to you with pics as soon as I can.

I don't have any pics of my interior. And your right it's a distance between us if we do swap it would have to happen some where in the middle.

Also my wife is some what ambivalent about the seats.

Also I should mention I picked up my car April 15 so it's still very new.

Hmmm...I don't think meeting in the middle is very practical for me, as I just couldn't afford it right now. Having just bought this car, I've got a lot of extra bills to pay. Also, realistically, it'd be an awfully long way to go for seats I've never seen before. (Though I'm glad to hear the wife is ambivalent about the seats. )

Ok, I'm still trying to figure out how to do this right, but here are two pictures of the seats, one of the front seats (first shortcut link), and one of the back (second shortcut link).

P. S. Anyone know how I attach photos directly to a post? (Oh well, this works well enough for now. )

Ahhh, ok, I see how this works now. Nevermind, turned out the way I wanted it to.

I would love to swap seats but travelling all the way to Reno for me would be prohibitive.

Sorry to hear that Aquasar. Oh well, perhaps my financial outlook will change in the near future, and I'll have a bit more travelling freedom. In the meantime, good luck to you.
